Higher experience gives hp/mana. So whatever kind of weapon/spell you use you'll gain experience and therefor hp/mana.

There is a good turtorial here if you wanna read up a bit on tips and tricks. http://allods2.com/eng/tutorial

AFAIR, the only thing difficulty affects is HP of monsters. For example, Ogre.4 has 512 hp on medium and 768 hp on hard. (Again, as far as I remember.)

I was wondering if someone could explain to me how exactly gaining skills effect my hitpoints and mana? The way I had it figures was that your highest level skill determines how much hitpoints and mana you get (based on the body and spirit attributes ofcourse), however, when I raise a for example my shooting skill, I will also get hit points even if it's not my highest level skill, so now I'm confused again.

I was wondering, is there any way to check what difficulty a saved single player game is currently on? I started a new game but now I'm starting to wonder if I forgot to put the game difficulty to hard.

Thanks man. I actually managed to get help from NOVA by msn already, but I appreciate the help. Still haven't figured out how to make my own hat, but since there apparently aren't many who play rom2 online anymore, I'll have to see if I even need that.

Hello.

http://allods.homeunix.org/allods2.php

^^ Here you find patches for the common problems of ROM2.
There is also the mouse-speed patch (Fix of too fast scrolling).

I've also got another question. I downloaded and extracted the multiplayer pack in my rom 2 folder, and tried to log on to hat but I wasn't able to connect. I'm completely sure that the ip address aswell as the login information was correct, so what could be the reason for this? My internet is also working fine. I tried to find an update for the game, just in case I'm running an outdated game, but I couldn't find any patch.

It's my first post here so hello everyone.

I just installed rom 2 after a very long break from the game. The problem I'm having is that the mouse scroll speed is insanely fast, and seeing as there doesn't seem to be an option to slow it down ingame, I was wondering if there's any other way to slow it down?

As it is, when my mouse hits the edge of the screen in game, the view immediately jumps to the other side of the map, so it's close to impossible to use the mouse to scroll. Currently I'm using the arrow keys for this, but I'd much rather use the mouse, so if someone knows how to fix this issue, please let me know.

My second question is regarding hats, and more specifically how to make my own. While I plan to play on someone else's hat to have a chance to play with some other players, I thought it might be interesting to create my own content when I'm bored. In other words I'm curious if someone could explain to me how this is done and what tools are needed?

That's pretty much all I can think of right now. Thank you for your time, cheers. :)
