I have find script for you Albadaran.Very interesting the script..

The script work with the restricion place on the Tele-Portal

Hello Jult,

Just got killed by an Ogre in your mage shop. Here is a script to prevent monsters follow players into shops. This is how it works:

1. place the script in DoorOpen of your doors in the main map and remove the tag for areatransition.
2. Edit the script where it says: TARGETWAYPOINTHERE to the name of your own targetwaypoint.
3. Put the targetwaypoint in the shop, just after the door (and don't change the door there).

Now players will teleport into your shop when they 'touch' the door, and monsters cannot follow :). The script will also close the door after 5 seconds.

The [b]#include[/b] is a directive (a Preprocessor Directive, to be precise), much like any other statement in NWScript, as far as you are concerned.

The named file (#include [b]"stuff"[/b]) must exist somewhere, or you can not compile the script.

So if the script compiles it's flawless proof the file to include is Zzz'ing somewhere :-)
Otherwise it's either:
A) the file does not exist.
B) the file name is mispelled - and it's basically case (A) again

So hit the "open script" button. A new window appears, prompting you to select a file.
By default, you see the list of files physically present in the Module you have currently opened.

But many more files await outside the Module, sitting whitin the huge *.BIF resource files of NWN.

So in that window you must click on the appropriate Radio Button to make sure you are searching through the complete list of resources available in the game, not just those present in the Module.

You'll see the file count increase dramatically.
In that new list there surely is the file you seek.

I notced many scripts start with:

#include "name"

Its looks like a set of definitions needs to be loaded to make them work. But where do I find those sets? As an axample there is a forge script in the Underdark expansion with:

#include "x2_inc_ws_smith"

But I can't fand a thing named: x2_inc_ws_smith

So what is it about, where is the info stored?

Modules do award XP based on preset BW rules.
You can find a XP Slider on the Module Properties window.

If you want to implement your personal XP award system you must set the XP Slider to 0%, so you turn off the built-in award System of BW.

Note:
if you increase the XP Slider to 100%, you copy the D&D rules.
NWN is born to use only 10% of that, because you get to kill lot more enemies in a short time.

I have a few questions about gaining experience.

1. In my mod I notice that when a creature dies, it gives 2 times experience in a row (but not the same amounts). What causes this?

2. Experience is unbalanced: some creatures die easily and give more experience than e.g. drow mages, who are much harder to kill. Where can I edit the experience they give?

Note that my mod uses the Rhun ruleset.

same if i understand you meaning of your word , i dont want to understand your Kidiest Toy word,anyway Each time you judge all poeple , i dont like it , yes you can have your judgement but sometime you must to shutup and not talk him.

Probably you have some xp with nwnt ,you have judge my work , only you have probably view just the picture , you not have probably view the video , and same if you view the video he have more update then before.I think for a first module , i have make good job and learn very fast.I do not need poeple as you for help him.

Areas are Areas.
Items are Items.
Merchants are Merchants.
Creatures are Creatures.
Foxes are Foxes.
Waypoints are Waypoints.
Map Pins are Waypoints.

Waypoints become Map Pins if you give them a text to display on the player map.
Open the properties window of a Waypoint and you will see what you can do with it.

When you setup a named area transition (and a map pin appears for it), the map pin is an auto-generated Waypoint located where the transition is and given a name to display on map.

Well I can use some advise/help...

First remove a misunderstanding: I'm [i]not[/i] working on a rom3 version like Jult. I am creating NwN versions of rom1, rom2 and Evil Island maps which I created myself.

To do this I use the Rhun scriptset (why inventing everything when it's already available?). By using this a basic ruleset its easy to copy and past maps, repaint them, use items and scripts.

I can use some help. Feel free to add your own favourite high level rom2 map. Simply paint it by using the Rhun set, export the single map as .erf file and send it to me.

Now and than I encounter things which should be easy, but are not clear to me. Like this one:
Why have some imported Rhun maps pins with names to the old Area Transition, while others don't have them? And how can I change the names to the new area transitions?

Jult, if you need some of my maps for your project, just tell me.

Haha...actually no I'm not. I am in fact essentially thru with NWN for a while (at least as an admin). I'm still interested in what you all are doing and I'll pop in from time to time, but I'm going to take a back seat for a little while.

Instead, I have gone back to a gigantic project I've been working on sporadically since 1986. It has nothing to do with computers or computer games. It is a fantasy environment which is, for lack of any other convenient comparison, much like JRR Tolkein's Middle Earth, at least in size and scope. It is the successor to the various small worlds I ran when I was Dungeon Master for our Dungeons & Dragons group way way back when I was in high school. The place is known as the Empyrean World. It is a lifelong project and I'll never ever truly be done with it, but I have learned over the past 22+ years that I simply have to "strike when the iron is hot". What I mean is, I simply must drop everything else and work on it when inspiration and enthusiasm for the project happens. Well, enthusiasm has struck me again (you can thank, or blame, Atton for it this time), so I'm now working on that project again, at least until my enthusiasm diminishes.

and even less on Nwnt.If it would have seen view on Rhun and you want me to talk about me I would have added to the list.If you want you help we , just says here what is your experience with toolset and what is that your idea you can help to contribueate rom3.

This is not the issue to keep the project on my own control or not. I not want for now have 2489743 server rom3 open for nothing.
In addition it is me who can work the most hours on rom3.
So for now I want it to be me that opens the first master server for the first time time to see how there are many people who come to play
, it is normal that I built over the map.



What is the result, if there are many more people than expected will have other server and this, most people who worked on rom3 work will be first on the list which will open another server. All what I hope it will help those who will respect the commitments. Otherwise I will continue it all alone not bother me but I'm not without - heart and I do not want to create jealousy or anything. If I appeal to you is because I think of you. Yes we will all be able to open a server one day each of the creators, false let time go, it's only 2 weeks that the projects are short and would have told you that it already hosts either ends and nothing that password. I work 5-6h per day rom3. Yesterday I created for Ocean Adamant Medium Map. And Today I built a medium Judas.

Ha Fox, I think Jult does not know you... Yet. And it looks like he wants to keep his project under his own control as long as the basic maps are not finished.

As for me, I wonder what happened to the original Rhun project of Nova and you. And why nobody combines existing project, using each others knowledge to make a VERY good mod! I'm afraid the same thing is about to happen with the rom3 project. What is everyone doing? My best guesses:

-Atton is developping his Greenworld
-Nova is searching for ways to get a copy of the Legend of Rhun mod
-Jult is making low level rom2 maps in NWN
-BB is sleeping
-I am playing and cosidering mapmaking for nwn mods
- ..........

Now, are we going to make/improve NWN mods or not? If so, than make knowledge and data available so everyone can use it and improve it. Or we end up with 4 or 5 differend mod versions and no players.

The reason for my silence is that I assigned the module so that Lord Atton he works at the stores and it is waiting 2-3 days after the module with the updates of shop.Lord Atton , if you see this message or tell me you is made, I look forward to rebuild the maps

Currently I'm looking into ways to export and import existing maps from other mods. I found a helpfull site for this (and for more editing):

I started to adjust a Rhun map to become like my rom2 Alitribute map. Extracted it and used it for a setup for a new Allods mod, where I am adding a version of Urza. It's a bit trial and error, but I think I'll manage to create a nice combo out of this.
What I don't do however is creating buildings with shops or inns. I know how to setup a shopkeeper in the field, but have no intention to put them into buildings. I noticed Jult is good in this, so lets leave this to him :)

As for my rom3 contribution: I stick to my own maps, recreating them in an 'aftermath' setting: many years after rom2, with only traces of buildings, roads and stuff. It's the gameplay I want to recreate, not the exact maps.

I hope everyone here will contribute to this project. Recreating the worlds of Allods is more than adding a few rom2 maps. It would contain maps from rom1, rom2 and Evil Islands. A huge project indeed! Are you in?

I have a question about editing a mod in nwn:

When I setup an encounter it's easy to specify respawn rate, but I can't find a way to change loot.

When I add a single creature, its easy to add loot, but I can't find a way to set respawn rate.

I would like to make a creature encounter where I can specify both the respawn rate and the kind of loot. How can I do this?
