| thank you all for your kind and comforting words. today i tried your NWN server NOVA, but no luck. this is what i do: I click "Join Internet Games", it connects to GameSpy, click "Direct Connect", put in the IP and password, and then ..... nothing found. I'm probably doing something not quite right. |

| As expected, my grandfather did in fact die today....roughly 6 hours ago to be precise. So I can't guarantee I'll be online during the next few days, but then again I just might afterall, who knows. Be well everyone, and bear with me. I haven't given up on NWN. It's just postponed a little. The server is still running, so feel free to play. In 2 weeks we mourn the loss of my mother, 1 year ago. These are dark days. Some of us escape in games, others prefer to step back for a moment. Be well. |

| 1st of all, I'm very sorry to hear that. Whenever you make it back to this forum, I look forward to chatting with you. I'm at a loss for the appropriate words. I wish you and your family all the best. 2nd, I myself may be here only sporadically for the next few days. I was called away from work suddenly today around lunch time. My grandfather was diagnosed with both a blood clot and several severe bleeding ulcers in his stomach. While on his way to the hospital, he made it clear that he does NOT want any attempt at a cure that requires surgery. That's impossible anyway because he is not capable of surviving any such operation in his current state. I just got back home from the hospital. My family made the decision to cease all life support measures and medication. The hospital now simply has him on a stomach pump to withdraw the continuous flow of blood from his ulcers. It could be hours (or perhaps a day or two) but he will not survive. For those of you who believe in bizarre coincidences, he was admitted to the hospital on the precise day that my grandmother was two years ago. She never came home either. Man, what a shitty week. -NOVA |

| in case anyone wondered why i suddenly disappeared, last saturday my sister that i loved the most, died after only a 2 months hospitalization. this blew me away. so i need some time. see you guys later. |
