| It may turn out to be the same editor version that you already have, but you can try the following site: http://actathia.com/sites/rom2/files/files.php If that doesn't work, you could try the web archive of Vampire's old Allods site: http://web.archive.org/web/20091208052707/http://vamp.allods.net/files.html It's all in Russian, so you'll probably want to translate it in order to be able to read most of it. But there are some excellent ROM2/Allods2 utility files there. Good luck. |

| Hi I picked it up on GOG a few weeks ago. The game works, but the map editor doesn't. First it complained about Direct Draw missing, but I could fix it by using 8 Bit colour mode. But now it stops me from starting it because of Piracy Check. "Buy the game!". I feel betrayed now, I payed for the game, and I really love to play around with edtiors. Does anybody have a solution for this? WIll it work when I download a CD crack? I looked for one, but am afraid of downloading such things from unfamiliar sites. Thanks in advance. |

| Just a heads up to those who still rely on free copies of the game. ROM2 is on gog.com at less than 5 euros -- presumably it is about the same price in dollars. See the gog page at: https://www.gog.com/game/rage_of_mages_ii_necromancer Maybe 5 bucks are too much for this old game, but the gog installer is sure to deliver a working game on your system. I do not know if the gog version sports an altered game excutable and I do not know if the user-made "patches" (gm hack, mouse scroll speed, et cetera...) do work with it. In the list of goodies for the game they mention a "Community Multiplayer Client by Allods2.eu" both in EN and RU languages. I do not know what that is either :) -fox |
