| Greetings from a long time lurker in Australia. With Windows 8, it seemed my bi-annual retreat into rom2 was to end forever (had issues with making a virtual box aswell), until I saw an obscure reference to a rom2pack. After some looking, I found the dropbox hosted by Nova here and to my delight it started up without a hitch. However, while I can play this lovely game again, there is also an odd side effect in terms of cursor/game stuttering and occasional performance drop unique to this particular rom2.exe. Perhaps it has something to do with the rom2pack only designed to be used in conjunction with HATS, or perhaps the scroll fix (which I had never been able to get working), or perhaps something else. Is there perhaps a place to get more info about this particular rom2pack or any missing files, or anybody who has encountered this problem also? |
