| What exactly were you hoping to benefit from these crystal items? Also, you do have dragon leather shields and mail which are essentially equivalent to what crystal would be. It really doesn't matter much what the base item is (other than it's natural magical limits). The base item is mostly just window dressing (in other words it's not really very important). The REAL power of items is in their magical adders (body +3, earth resistance, etc). In addition to the powers of magical items sold by shops, you can also make super powerful QUEST gear of your own using the Map Editor. Simply set the price for any such item equal to 2 gold and the game will NOT recalculate and reduce the item powers (because the item will be recognized as super magic). You can also edit the world.res file if you wish to modify most in game properties (magical abilities, gold costs, damage done, effects of potions and scrolls, even the stats and abilities of all the game's monsters). Just make sure you make a backup in case you corrupt the file. Editing this file is tricky though. The information is embedded and compressed a bit. And unless you have a utility to extract the files first, you'll have to use a hex editor to make any changes to the file. Of course, you'll first have to decipher exactly what and where to change things. And before you ask for instructions on how to do that.....I don't have detailed instructions for that. And I think it would be far too complicated to even try explaining it on a forum post. Good luck. Nice to see somebody still reads this forum after all these years. | hi all. it is possible to add crystal crossbow, crystal shield and mail (tower shield dont rember the name) i know the last are meteoric but is there mod or patch? and why they didnt add just? we got bronze iron mithril adamantium meteoric sets but not full crystal :< i heard something like rom 2,5 but now site is off. they created rom 2,5 ? if yes where can i download?(or patches) |
