| I stand corrected. Jult's hamachi does appear to be connected just fine after all. Try powering your hamachi OFF and then back ON. That cured my connection problems and I am now able to connect to his HAT. Good luck, NOVA |

| As to your first question, I think Jult's Hamachi connection is toasted and has been for several days. Until you share a common (and live) hamachi VPN connection with his computer you will NOT be able to connect to his HAT. He has appeared as "unreachable" in hamachi for the past couple of days. As to your errors with the map editor, be certain you are running your video in 16-bit color mode (and NOT 32-bit) mode. The editor will not work in anything except 16-bit color mode. A direct-draw error is a common result. Hopefully that is your only problem. Good luck, NOVA |

| hopefully I got some notice because of my odd title (anyway) I am having many Issues with my ROM2 game.. I havnt tried to play local yet, but I did try to connect to (I think) Jults server. but Even though I had the multiplayer pack installed and His version of all the maps I couldnt connect I had his IP correct and my username and pass.. but it just said that the IP may be invalid. and today I tried to run the map editor and it told me that it couldnt start Direct Draw or I wasnt running in high color mode.. I checked hmm i was running high color mode. and my compatibility was at windows 2000, running the application in 256 color mode. so that couldntbe the problem. so I downloaded DDRAW.DLL and put it into WINDOWS>System file and tried again.. same error, then I also put the same file into the rom2 directory, after deleting the one I had just placed into the WINDOWS>System folder.. and i got a different error 2-3 times.. but I still cant get it to work.. AT ALL.. Im running a notebook with XP now and I have ROM2 on an External HDD using the FAT32 file system so maybe its NTSF and FAT32 clashing but I would really like to have all my games on this HDD not on individual PCs so I would like to NOT have to move it.... any help appreciated -Stone |
