I guess I would ask, "why are you playing multi-player rather than HAT play?" HAT play is SO much more versatile, more flexible, and you can run as many maps simultaneously as you desire. At any rate, in answer to your question, I would suggest the best method would be to use FireFly's utilities to force a re-write of the map level field. Essentially, you over-write the calculated level and can force ANY map to be listed as ANY level you want. So an EASY map can now be HARD or a HORROR map can now be EASY. This modified level only lasts as long as you do not open & save that map in the map editor (because the editor automatically recalculates the legitimate map level). You'd have to re-run the utility to override it again. You can find FF's utilities at: http://www.freewebs.com/rom2/ The one you want is called "FIX MAP LEVEL". While you're there, you might check out a few other useful utilities and bookmark the site for future reference. If you decide to switch to running a HAT instead of multiplayer, find me in MSN as kingkota666@hotmail.com and I can walk you through it all. I think you'll be much happier running a HAT. Good luck. On multiplayer, is there a way for a high level character(skills above 51) to play on Easy maps. I remember being able to when I played a long time ago, but I can't remember how. |
