... microsoft did it again. I was going to reply a pair of e-mails, but hotmail.com has upgraded their systems sometime between 36 and 72 hours ago. In the process they left out all users of older version browsers, including Firefox 2 (the one we had). "Upgrade your browser" they say. But to do that you (we) also need to upgrade the operating system, for the supported browsers shall only run on XP, Seven or Vista. "sorry" they say! The current situation here: I can receive/read messages, but I can not reply nor send new. The page stays blank, with nowhere to type the text in. Browser fault or some compatibility issue. The problem, however, is that the computer I use to connect to the www is older than dirt, and not mine. So we have to wait for Authorized Help, even though everyone here can install and configure a new OS no problem. if I am pissed!!! -fox |
