| You are a lucky person. Its almost december and that means that all of us (5-6 lol) get together and play on the christmas hat. This year I will be hosting it and its gonna open probly the first or 2nd week of december. so till then you will just have to patient i guess... see you in december. |

| Like me Albadaran, I never played on a hat that had no shops LOL. As summer isn't over yet and for some it's even winter time, I could set up a Summer Hat. Starting with the known simple maps and adding a few with interesting items while progressing. I have a spare and idle computer which can be used as a server dedicated to rom2 only. I'll see if I can get it to work. I use a router, so Hamachi will be needed. |

| I didn't play that hat either I think :P But I remember a hat that had no shops. I guess it was to prevent people from crashing the hat with the Defend trick. I added ex-lend to gtalk, but haven't had the time to speak with him. When I get back from my holiday next week, I will ask him to change their hat program into a linux shell script. Then we can buy a shell account for €5,- a month orso and just run a hat from there. Any ideas? |

| Shop removal? What shop removal? I guess I missed that hat (or refused to play under such circumstances) lol! You are right, most of our hats stopped because they were empty most of the time. Only some special events, like Christmas event, have some visitors for 1 or 2 weeks. And even than, its mostly only 1 or 2 online at most, with 5-10 different players at total. Yet I'm amazed about the requests this summer. If we had known before I would have adviced Nova to start a rom2 hat. But now hes already hosting nwn. And hollidays are almost over... So wait until Christmas lol! |

| I guess the problem of RoM2 nowadays is that there are only a few people wanting to play, but this game actually needs enough players so there's at least 5-10 people online at all time. I wouldn't mind joining a hat a few hours every week, but I don't have more time then that. Isn't it possible to come up with a way that focus more on character building instead of just playing horror maps with 5 people at the same time? Did the shop removal thing worked? How long untill you are horror with full skills and all? |
